A Little Snow, A Lot of Waiting, and Our Journey Down Under

I’ll be honest—this weekend has been a bit of a challenge. As many of you in the Northeast know, the recent snowstorm didn't just blanket our driveways; it completely upended our travel plans.

My group and I were all set to fly out of JFK on February 23rd, but the storm created a major logistical hurdle for Air New Zealand. Because the weather was so severe, they couldn't safely position our plane back in the U.S. without risking a cancelled landing. Yesterday afternoon, we all got the news: a full 23-hour delay.

While a 23-hour delay is never the "Day One" anyone dreams of, safety is always the priority. This is exactly why I always tell my clients: in travel, flexibility is just as important as your passport!

Fortunately I designed the trip to have a free day when we arrive so we won't miss anything.  We will hit the ground running and start our tour with a Auckland harbor cruise & city tour!

It’s definitely been a test of patience and a source of anxiety for all of us, but we are keeping our spirits high! We’re trading the snow shovels for suitcases a little later than expected, and I can't wait to finally get this group to the sunny skies of Auckland,
